Hello!! Thank you so much for taking a second to click on my link and getting to know me a bit better!! I was born and raised right here in Eastern North Carolina. I am so fortunate to be surrounded by amazing family and friends!! I have also been blessed with so many great opportunities. It is probably the reason my interests are so diverse!! It also means I can talk to just about anybody about just about anything. I am super excited to get married to my amazing fiance, Jayson, in 2014. He is in the Navy and will be deployed for most of the time we are engaged, but that might be a good thing for him!! HaHa. It's usually best to let me be when I am planning a big event. I am also in my final year at East Carolina University. If everything goes as planned, I will be finished in the summer of 2013. It's been a long time coming and it will be be nice to finally graduate!! I am beyond thankful for every member of our military. I cannot begin to express my gratitude for someone who puts their life on the line for my freedom. I have many family members spanning all the different branches and they amaze me every day with their hard work and dedication. If you have a loved one in the military, please make sure to thank them for me!! Feel free to give me a call anytime!! I love hearing your stories and getting your advice on different things!! Seeing the phones light up makes my face light up just as bright!!
What do/did your friends call you: Mayhem, Lennie, Hellcat, Bacardi, Biscuit…the list goes on and on!!
Hometown: New Bern, NC (Yup, I’m an ENC gal!!)
First Celebrity Crush: One of the Hansen brothers or Justin Timberlake
Favorite comfort food: Spaghetti or anything with tons of carbohydrates!!
First thing you would do if you won the lottery: I would cash in the lottery ticket. (Of course!!) From there, I would make sure my family and friends are taken care of and then spend the rest of my life in school and traveling the world.
Describe your perfect sundae: A soft, spongy chocolate brownie topped with vanilla ice cream and hot fudge and some nuts. Yummm!!
Preferred beverage: Hot tea
Favorite part of the chicken: I’m actually a vegetarian, so I don’t eat chicken, but when I did, always the breast.
Favorite cartoon as a kid: Sailor Moon
How do you like your steak: HaHa. I don’t eat steak either, but when I did, medium.
Most embarrassing moment: I really can’t think of one. My life consists of embarrassing moments every day, so I have become immune to keeping them in my memory.
3 favorite artists on WRNS right now: Jason Aldean, Hunter Hayes, and Taylor Swift
Birthday and Sign: September 1 -- Virgo
Best time of the year for you: Any day that stays at a steady 70 degrees with a light breeze is alright with me!!
What is your favorite sport: I might get some grief for this, but I count dance as a sport. I spent over ten years doing it and still love to watch dancers perform.
Weirdest on-air experience: Crystal Legends put it best: “Stalkers.. they always brighten the day”
Best on-air experience: Getting calls welcoming me to WRNS. I am so thankful for our WRNS family being willing to listen to me for twenty-five hours a week!!
First paying job outside of the farm, mowing grass, or babysitting: I worked at Port City Java as a barista. The funny thing is that I am allergic to coffee!! It was the one job where you get unlimited great coffee and I couldn’t have any!!
Things you hide when company comes over: Actually, nothing!! I am so OCD and my house spends 99% of its life being immaculate. Just ask everyone who works here. I have helped clean most of their offices.
Guilty Pleasure: Food that I know is so bad for me, but tastes so good!! Wine is good, too.
Worst movie ever saw: I barely get to watch any movies. I'm usually too busy with work. I'll have to get back to you on that one.
Cat, Dog, or other: Dogs all the way!!
Person you’d most like to slap: I probably shouldn't say... Although, I wouldn't say "no" to a free pass on Lindsay Lohan or any of the Kardashians!!
Favorite artist of all time: That is the most impossible question ever!! But, Led Zeppelin takes the cake!!
If you could text one thing to your ex-boss, what would you say: Which ex-boss? I have quite a few… HaHaHa!!
Theme song that should play when you enter a room: "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic"
Celebrity/Country Music Star you’d most like to be stranded on an island with: This is also impossible!! I would probably go with Shane West. I think he is so good looking!!
Best Facebook/Twitter/text you’ve gotten lately: This may be sappy, but any lovey dovey text message from my fiance makes my day!!
Best concert you’ve attended as a Jock: Thomas Rhett is the only concert I have attended with WRNS and that was phenomenal. Of all the concerts I have been to, Shinedown and Halestorm put on the best show.
Most over-used expression: "Geez, Louise" is a common one. I also say "what can you do?" a lot and it gets on one of my bosses nerves which makes me use it even more. And then there is the classic "in your face" as a reinforcement of my intellect. (I only say it in good fun. I never mean any harm.)
Greatest Super Hero: Our military, of course.
What were your aspirations before you became a DJ: I have so many things I want to do!! I guess we can start with actress, forensic anthropologist, doctor, lawyer, and teacher.
