TK

Weekdays 7:00 PM-12:00 AM

What’s up- TK here!
Born & raised right here in ENC & love it! Growing up, my family made sure I was surrounded by great music – which started my journey. I started producing & DJ’ing around 14 ! I try to take advantage of being outside as much as I can golfing, fishing, hanging with friends – anything that involves having a good time (and maybe a little competition)! My family is extremely important to me, I would not have made it this far without them. Hang out with me on weekday nights 7pm-12am on WRNS! & Try to outsmart me with my Risky Quizness, every weeknight just after 7PM.

Date: Saturday, April 27

Time: 11:00am – 1:00 pm

Location: Next Chapter Books and Art, 320 S. Front St., New Bern, NC

It’s all about the gourds!

Author, Mandy Monath, will be signing books and leading a craft project for children on Saturday, April 27 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Next Chapter Books and Art in New Bern, NC.

In Monath’s new children’s book, How Counting Came to Be, a cave girl goes on an adventure across the Not-So-Far-Away River to gather gourds for her family. Ugh Poppi, whose name means “girl-who-thinks-too-much,” meets a new friend and quickly realizes that nobody knows how to count. By working together, Ugh Poppi and her friend invent something that will change human life forever.

Children will decorate a tiny gourd and plant gourd seeds to take home.

This funny book will make your children laugh and introduce them to the most important concept in mathematics! – Radmila Sazdanovic, NCSU Mathematics
